What to Bring for Your Fishing Trip
To help you make the most of your day on Lake Ontario, here are a few recommendations to prepare for your fishing adventure:
- Bring your good mood and sense of adventure
- A valid Ontario fishing licence
(Youth under 18 and adults 65 years of age and older do not require a fishing licence.) - Season-appropriate clothing
(A rain jacket, windbreaker, or warm clothing is recommended, especially early in the morning.) - Comfortable, secure footwear
(Sandals are not permitted on board.) - Sunglasses or other eye protection
- Sunscreen, along with a hat or cap
(The sun can be very strong on Lake Ontario.) - Your food and beverages
(A cooler is available on board.)
Helpful Tip
Bringing a few snacks or light refreshments can help reduce the risk of nausea during the day.
If You Are Prone to Seasickness
If you are sensitive to motion sickness or unsure how you will handle the lake conditions, we recommend bringing Ginger Gravol or another motion sickness remedy available at your local pharmacy or online.
Capture the Memories
Don’t forget your phone or camera so you can take photos and videos of your fishing adventure and the fish you catch.
Bringing Your Catch Home
We recommend bringing a large cooler and leaving it in your vehicle so you can transport your catch home safely.
Ice is available at the marina if needed.
We also provide fish cleaning and/or filleting services. Your catch will be packaged in bags supplied by us to help preserve its freshness and quality for your trip home.
All fishing equipment is provided, and your guide will offer instruction, tips, and assistance throughout the excursion to ensure an enjoyable and successful experience on the water.
